Welo is available in the following locations:
Alfter, Bad Honnef, Bonn, Bornheim, Eitorf, Hennef, Königswinter, Lohmar, Meckenheim, Much, Neunkirchen-Seelscheid, Niederkassel, Rheinbach, Ruppichteroth, Sankt Augustin, Siegburg, Swisttal, Troisdorf, Wachtberg, Weilerswist, Windeck
Please note the different return rules for the three bike types.
REGISTRATION
Registration is free of charge. In order to verify your account, a €1 deposit is required and will become rental credit to use later on.
RENTAL
Simply scan the QR Code on the bike with the nextbike app and the FrameLock will open automatically.
PAUSE RIDE
Pause your ride without ending the rental. Simply pause your ride in the app and close the lock. The rental stays active during the pause and will be charged as usual.
RETURN
Return your bike at any official station or within the non-coloured zone without surcharge. In the yellow zone, the return is possible with a €1 surcharge. At three stationsStation Swisttal - Fronhof
Station Swisttal - Odendorf Station
Rheinbach Station Rheinbach, welo AND Eifel e-bike bikes can be returned and thus switched to the neighboring rental system Eifel e-Bike. Press the FrameLock lever down to lock the bike. If you return your bike away from the zones or stations, a service fee of at least €20 will be charged.

Return e-bikes at one of the numerous e-bike stations. Push it into the stand (if available) to charge it and press down the small lever on the frame lock. For returns outside of Welo stations, we charge a service fee of €20.

You can rent cargobikes in Troisdorf. Simply scan the QR Code on the bike with the nextbike app and the FrameLock will open automatically.

RETURN
Return your cargobike to its home station which is printed on the transport box and press the FrameLock lever down to lock it. If you return your cargo away from its home station, a service fee of at least 20 € will be charged.
Our tariffs
Up to four bikes can be rented at the same time on one account. The monthly/annual subscription and special conditions usually only apply to the first bike. The monthly subscription is valid throughout Germany except for Oldenburg, Usedom, Nuremberg and Bremen.
VRS subscribers (including the Deutschlandticket) and students cycle for less. To link your account, simply enter your VRS chip card number when selecting your partner during registration or in the app wallet.

If you have not booked another tariff, you will be charged at the basic rate. The maximum daily charge is 15 €/24 h.

If you have not booked another tariff, you will be charged at the basic rate. The maximum daily charge is €27 / 24 h.

If you have not booked another tariff, you will be charged at the basic rate. The maximum daily charge is €18 / 24 h.
Between 7pm – 7am a maximum charge of 5 € applies.

For each additional 15 minutes, you pay €1,50 (max. €18 / 24 h).

You will be charged the basic rate if you have not booked another rate and will pay a maximum of €12/24 hours per rental.
Between 7 pm and 7 am a maximum charge of €3.50 applies.

The first 30 minutes of each rental are included. Afterwards, each additional half hour will be charged at 1 € (max. 12 €/24 h).
